It was so well received that we decided it would be a good time to plant more currants. 

If you are unfamiliar with our distillery, we are located on a small farm so we are able to make (most often last minute) decisions of what to grow and what not to.  We rarely (never) rip anything out so lets see….move those blueberries over there and in with the currants.

Our second release was our Nocino (Green Walnut Liqueur), again, very well received.  This one could be a little tricky….where do we find room for more walnut trees?

We really love these new liqueurs and were so pleased with them that we entered them both in the well respected “American Distilling Institutes Judging of Artisan American Spirits.”  For us this is the most important judging so we were so proud when we learned in early April that our Cassis won the “Excellence in Packaging” award and “Silver Medal” for Fruit Infusions.  Our Nocino won “Best of Category-Bronze Medal” for Flavored Liqueurs.  Thank you so much ADI for the honor!

Our third release this year was “BETE” (Beet Spirit).  It’s so earthy and smooth! 

Time to get those seeds in the ground….DONE!!!  They are sown one at a time by hand and spaced at the right distance apart to avoid thinning later (because we know that will never happen).  Backbreaking?  Yes!  Rewarding?  Yes!!!

This cycle from earth to bottle is never ending….this is where our time goes and we’re enjoying every minute of it.
